ITBP Assistant Commandant Engineer Eligible male and female Indian Citizens are invited to apply for filling up the vacancies of Central Government Group-A, Gazetted Combatised Post (Non-Ministerial) on a temporary basis likely to be permanent in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. The Pay Scale-Level-10 (56,100-1,77,500) in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, along with other allowances admissible in ITBPF (MHA) Govt. of India, is applicable.

Upon joining the organization, selected candidates shall be governed by ITBPF Act 1992 and ITBPF Rules 1994, as amended from time to time. The post comes with all India liability, and candidates selected may be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. As the posts belong to the combatised stream of the Force, selected officers will have to wear the rank and badges of the post as per the orders/instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time.

PHASE – II: PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET)

(i) The candidates who qualify PST shall appear in the following Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

1. Documentation Verification (Phase I):
   • Admit cards issued online with date and venue details.
   • No document submission during the online application.
   • Provisional candidature subject to document submission during verification.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST – Phase II):
   • Qualification in documentation required.
   • Assesses height, chest, and weight based on prescribed standards.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET – Phase II):
   • Follows PST for qualified candidates.
   • Involves events such as races, long jump, and shot put.
   • All events are qualifying; failure leads to disqualification.
4. Biometric Identification (Phase III):
   • Conducted for candidates who qualify PET.
5. Written Examination (Phase IV):
   • Candidates passing Documentation, PST, and PET undergo a two-part written exam.
   • Paper I: Multiple Choice Questions, Paper II: Subjective.
6. Interview/Personality Test (Phase V):
   • Qualified candidates from earlier stages face the Selection Board.
   • The interview covers professional knowledge, experience, personality, and general awareness.
7. Merit List:
   • Drawn based on total marks in the written exam and interview.
   • Shortlisted candidates proceed to Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
8. Detailed Medical Examination (DME – Phase VI):
   • Assess candidates’ fitness.
9. Review Medical Examination (RME – Phase VII):
   • Candidates unfit in DME can undergo RME with written consent.
   • Conducted in continuation of DME.
10. Final Selection:
    • Based on merit list, DME, and RME results.

PHASE – II: PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET) – For Both Male and Female Candidates:

1. 100 Meter Race:

• Male: In 16 Seconds
• Female: In 18 Seconds

1. 800 Meters Race:

• Male: In 3 Minutes 45 Seconds
• Female: In 4 Minutes 45 Seconds

1. Long Jump:

• Male: 3.5 Meters (3 chances)
• Female: 3.0 Meters (3 chances)

1. Shot Put (7.26 Kgs):

• Male: 4.5 Meters (3 chances)
• Female: Not Applicable (N/A)
• All events of PET are qualifying in nature.
• Candidates must qualify all events independently. Failing in any event results in disqualification.
• No appeal against PET events is entertained for candidates failing in any event.

PHASE – IV: WRITTEN EXAMINATION – Two Papers:

Paper I (Multiple Choice Question/OMR Based) – 100 Marks:

• General Awareness (Bilingual): 25 questions, 25 marks
• Reasoning (Bilingual): 25 questions, 25 marks
• Numerical Aptitude (Bilingual): 25 questions, 25 marks
• General English: 25 questions, 25 marks
• Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for General/OBC/Ex-Servicemen, 45% for SC/ST.

Paper II (Subjective/Bilingual) – 100 Marks:

• Civil Engineering: 15 questions, 100 marks.
• Part-A: 5 Questions for 2 marks each
• Part-B: 5 Questions for 8 marks each
• Part-C: 5 Questions for 10 marks each
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Minimum qualifying marks same as Paper I.
• Scientific calculator allowed for Paper II only.
• No electronic gadgets, including mobile phones, allowed in the examination hall.

PHASE – V: INTERVIEW/PERSONALITY TEST – 50 Marks:

• Covers Knowledge of Professional Subject, Professional Related Experience, Personality & Appearance, and General Awareness.
• Total Marks: 50.
